Protection Training begins by training your dog to react to situations that may be threatening to you or your family.

Our Protection Training Program is specifically designed for the skills necessary to either deter a potential threat or to react in a manner to stop an attempted assault.  We train for many different situations to ensure that your dog will work regardless of the environment.

The following abilities are the core of our
Protection Training Program at K-9 Performance Plus, Inc.:
  • Alert (aggressively barking at a would-be assailant)
  • Apprehension (bite and hold onto the assailant to ensure your safety)
  • Out (to release immediately on command)
  • Ability to Recall ( if the attacker removes himself from the situation, you can call your dog back to you without a bite)

This training is completed within a six-foot radius of you to ensure control and reliability.  Protection Training will give you a sense of security because your dog will be there for those threatening circumstances and will protect you.  The most important part of Protection Training is that you will still have the social family pet that you enjoy but at the same time your safety is assured with the knowledge that your dog will be there to protect you when you need it most.
